Beach4me Posted November 17, 2013 #27 Share Posted November 17, 2013 I'm not a coffee or tea drinker but I'd love the extended non-alcoholic pkg if it included hot chocolate. Wonder if they'll include hot chocolate at some point.
marriedinva Posted November 17, 2013 #28 Share Posted November 17, 2013 Does every package include all the things listed in the packages before it? If i get the premium package, will that include fresh squeezed juices and bottled water??
Yillup Posted November 17, 2013 #29 Share Posted November 17, 2013 Does every package include all the things listed in the packages before it? If i get the premium package, will that include fresh squeezed juices and bottled water?? No, each package shows what's included listed under it. If you want alcohol, juice, tea, coffee, bottled water, soda, you'll need to get the highest package. gnocchi_mommy Posted November 17, 2013 #33 Share Posted November 17, 2013 The Ultimate Package is a $910 bar tab for a week for two people in a cabin.:eek:I can't imagine that for us but each cruisers needs are different. Doesnt sound bad to me.... we typically spend $100 a day on drinks underway, so thats not far off the mark. That said we're just going with the premium package for ours... which happens to be 9 days so the cost will indeed be in the $900 range. Its vacation!! :-)
gnocchi_mommy Posted November 17, 2013 #34 Share Posted November 17, 2013 Even the $40/day, my husband would have to drink a lot of beer everyday and if a port day, he would never make it. He drinks his fair share at home but not that much. An 18 pack will last him around 5 days. I don't think its a great deal for beer only drinkers. It's wine and liquor drinkers that really benefit imo!
KarinaGW Posted November 17, 2013 #35 Share Posted November 17, 2013 The Ultimate Package is a $910 bar tab for a week for two people in a cabin.:eek:I can't imagine that for us but each cruisers needs are different. We're doing the premium (coffee, tea & sparkling water aren't enough for *us* to bump to ultimate) so it's 1100 for the 2 of us for ten days...which sounds (maybe)horrific until you actually honestly break it down to your (potential) drinking habits... Me: mimosa, couple pool drinks throughout the day, a glass of wine or 2 at dinner, a drink during the Show, a couple/three drinks to close out the Schooner. Him: Mimosa (different one), a couple/three Rum & Cokes to while away while he's programming (he always has a computer he's programming on) during the day, a glass of wine or two during dinner, a drink during the show. Those at cost plus tip come really close, if not more to 55/p/day or at least close enough to prepay it so we don't have to worry about it. KarinaGW Posted November 17, 2013 #36 Share Posted November 17, 2013 Life's a Banquet and most poor suckers are starving to death - you have to get out and LIVE, LIVE, LIVE!!!!!!! I love your quote (great show) and agree wholeheartedly!
kevinyork Posted November 17, 2013 #37 Share Posted November 17, 2013 Seems like RCI listened! Had the premium package on AOS this April and hated the house white wine which was the only one included. At least its now wines up to a certain value the same as Celebrity do. RubyDog08 Posted November 17, 2013 #38 Share Posted November 17, 2013 It is awesome that there are now so many choices - especially since not everyone in a given cabin drinks alcohol. I'm waiting for a report on what specialty coffee actually means before making a decision for myself, but I am already sold on the concept of more choices for all! Thanks, Royal - this is a WOW! peteukmcr Posted November 17, 2013 #40 Share Posted November 17, 2013 I'm assuming premium coffee are the specialty coffee drinks at the promenade cafe. But what exactly are specialty teas and can you get the bottled water in the mini fridge in your cabin with the $20 package? According to the FAQs published by RCI, no, items from the mini bar are not included. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
peteukmcr Posted November 17, 2013 #41 Share Posted November 17, 2013 (edited) Here's a link to the details from RCI UK http://www.royalcaribbean.co.uk/_images/Royal%20Alcohol%20Beverage%20FAQ%20All%20Ships%20Web%20Nov%2013_tcm16-27947.pdf Al lot of your questions are answered in the 3 pages of FAQs Edited November 17, 2013 by peteukmcr
peteukmcr Posted November 17, 2013 #42 Share Posted November 17, 2013 Does every package include all the things listed in the packages before it? If i get the premium package, will that include fresh squeezed juices and bottled water?? It would appear bottled water yes, freshly squeezed juices no. If you have the ultimate package then yes to both.
Cotswold Eagle Posted November 17, 2013 #43 Share Posted November 17, 2013 (edited) There is something else to note from the UK information - the onboard availability from today only applies to North American departures, mid-December anywhere else. Cotswold Eagle Posted November 17, 2013 #44 Share Posted November 17, 2013 still water is what they use in car batt ,its boiled water that's cold Perhaps you were thinking of distilled water? Different thing - it's not just cooled down boiled water, you have to collect the pure water vapour and condense it. That removes impurities, such as minerals. Good for appliances, but a selling point of many (still or sparkling) bottled waters is that they contain minerals. In fact, the phrase 'mineral water' is often used. 9876 Posted November 17, 2013 #45 Share Posted November 17, 2013 That sounds awesome. I would imagine our family would still get the package but it sure is nice to have an option.
believer33323 Posted November 17, 2013 #46 Share Posted November 17, 2013 Anyone know if Starbucks is included in the package? From what I have read, they are a privately run operation so I doubt it.
Desert Cruizers Posted November 17, 2013 #47 Share Posted November 17, 2013 gnoochi mommy, my husband only drinks beer, no hard liquor, whereas I will have a class of wine occassionally or a Pina colada but drink mainly Ice Teas or a coke now & then when we cruise. One cruise they offered a 6 for 5 so he took advantage of that. Right after the first night, when he bought 1 to go along with the 6, the waiter didn't charge him for the one, so DH gave him a big tip and everynight he took his 7 back to the room.:)

SDA1125 Posted November 18, 2013 #49 Share Posted November 18, 2013 Was thinking about getting the 45.00 pkg which is now $40.00 - so 10.00 savings per day for us. 90.00 for the week - package is looking more attractive now. Anyway else swayed by the lower prices ?
tigers317 Posted November 18, 2013 #50 Share Posted November 18, 2013 I had a question about this. I have the premium package for my wife and I for our Dec 9th sailing. Can I cancel the package for my wife and just keep it for me or does she still need a package?
