AAAAmerican Posted November 27, 2013 #27 Share Posted November 27, 2013 Youall may now are seeing New Jersey has OnLine Gambling. I wonder if the Ships are going to allow this too now? ;)
bobsfamily Posted November 27, 2013 #28 Share Posted November 27, 2013 Let me make an addendum to that...once you charge your S&S and have the money on your slot machine, play a spin or two before you upload the credits and cash out at the casino cage. I uploaded $100 twice and immediately cashed out...when I went to try again on both slots and at the table, I was denied access until I got it "unlocked." I DO happen to play slots so I wasn't deliberately trying to be a scheister, but if you don't play ANYTHING, they will lock you. Lesson learned. Had it happen to me twice last cruise... had to get "unlocked" and the casino host said "now Bob you know better" and I sheepishly said "yes, sorry". Both times I had played some on one slot, got more money and then decided to change machines (the one I wanted came open). The key is to play a couple of pulls after you get the advance. Now if you are truly trying to save the 3% fee at the tables you might spend more taking those pulls but you do have a chance at winning!
girlscruise2011 Posted November 27, 2013 #29 Share Posted November 27, 2013 Just got off the Fascination yesterday and the "Drinks on Us" card was awarded at 1000 points:eek: Isn't the Fascination a 5 day cruise? I think it may be less points on the shorter cruises.

I think it may be less points on the shorter cruises. In June, 900 points on Fascination got you the Drinks on Us Card on the 5 day cruise. Last October it took 1500 points for the same cruise. Love the consistency of CCL.
dulcimergirl Posted November 27, 2013 #31 Share Posted November 27, 2013 I am slightly ticked off at the casino on Fantasy. I made friends with a lady playing 3 card poker, and on the last sea day, we were handed a white envelope, along with a few others. Well, everybody got a free cruise from the casino except me, because I already had one (paid for by myself) booked. My letter had a number to call with a special code to give. I was hoping for an upgraded cabin, or substantial casino cash. What I got when I called was 50$ and a Drinks on us card. WTH? Thats it? I have never received that low an amount of Players Cash. I have always received the Drinks on us card. I feel a bit like I've been cheated. It won't make me cancel my cruise, but I probably won't be in the casino at all, if that's all the benefit I get from that. So, play for fun, don't expect Carnival to step up for the mega-money players.
mlrm Posted November 27, 2013 #32 Share Posted November 27, 2013 Im mostly a BJ player and even with that those auto shufflers really suck !!! You cant get a good shoe when you don't have one :) However, the upside of an auto shuffler is that you start with a "fresh deck" each hand. In this case the person next to you really can't mess up your hand statistically by hitting or not hitting when they should. The auto shuffle also gives a fraction of the house odds back to the player. They are able to overcome this by dealing more hands.
Chmie Posted November 27, 2013 #33 Share Posted November 27, 2013 We earned our 1,500 points for free drinks just as our 2012 cruise was ending. Took a few dollars and beers to get there :D Does the free drinks carryover to our 2014 cruise or do we have to start from scratch again ?
mikel24m Posted November 27, 2013 #34 Share Posted November 27, 2013 Pretty sure how that worked for me..... Maybe I just have a higher play rate.... I lost 15k one cruise playing BJ and never got the drinks on us .The pit boss and casino host made sure I got drinks when I wanted but I should not have had to ask for the comped drink

Im not one of those guys ;) My hand my money I hit and stand when I want I will offer advise(or loan) when one should split or double to make money though :) Years ago I won about 15K starting with $100 in one shoe, 6 decks.I think you can get a good run either way

clcjdn Posted November 27, 2013 #37 Share Posted November 27, 2013 Per Martin, with 5,000 points in your prior cruise, you get the drink card up front.

The4Cruisers Posted December 1, 2013 #40 Share Posted December 1, 2013 The slots on ships should have a police tape around it because they steal your money. Wow, I haven't lost money on slots yet. I'm cringing each cruise waiting for lady luck to turn.
