anyone know why helicopter is circling the Ruby?

We were behind her sailing on Niew Amsterdam and there is a helicopter just circling during sail away. She has slowed and appears to have changed course????

I think you meant Royal. They have been doing a lot of photography and perhaps video during her sailaways from Port Everglades. They have the ship change course so that one side is nicely lit by the setting sun.

The bridge cam shows her at dock in Venice Italy and I checked the events at sea web sight and didn't see anything. Maybe a medical emergency?

Yes, there is a film crew from ITV filming the Royal and life aboard. They are putting together a show that will be aired after Downton Abbey early next year. I believe the crew are onboard for another week or so.
