voyager89 Posted November 21, 2013 #1 Share Posted November 21, 2013 Hi, I was wondering if anybody has been on deck 4 on RCI´s RCI. Will be on the Jewel on cabin 4521, 2 cabins away from the theatre elevators. If you have could you tell me if it was very noisy? and how about the rocking? do you feel the ship is moving that much for being in a lower deck? thanks! cb at sea Posted November 21, 2013 #2 Share Posted November 21, 2013 No cabin hallway opens directly to public areas....noise shouldn't be an issue. Lower decks perceive less motion...not more! The closer to the "center", both in height and length of ship, the more stable it feels. The very ends of the ship, especially on higher decks will "feel' the motion most. Think of a see-saw! The middle doesn't move as much as the ends!

We have only sailed the Oasis and even though it's the widest ship we did feel it rocking. The Jewel is a thinner one so I expect not to feel it as much. Thanks!
