blue_water Posted November 26, 2013 #1 Share Posted November 26, 2013 Is there a recommended catamaran or monohull daysail that perhaps stops at a beach/caye for a choice of snorkeling or beach time? We visited Goff's Caye last cruise and it was beautiful. Not interested in snorkeling this visit but if there's a beach there to enjoy that works. Also looking for a cat or other sailboat rather than the enclosed "lifeboat" excursion. Thanks!
Rare crewsweeper Posted November 26, 2013 #2 Share Posted November 26, 2013 There are some out of San Pedro, but places like belize cruise excurisons or coral breeze excursions seem to use tender type boats for snorkeling. Contact Nacho at NCQBelize Adventures and ask what he might be able to set up for you. He has helped organize snorkeling tours in the past. He'll tell you up front if he can help or not or who you might contact.
blue_water Posted November 26, 2013 Author #3 Share Posted November 26, 2013 Excellent, thanks! Yes we went to Goff's caye in a lifeboat-type craft, fully-enclosed and not much fun! I know coming in on a cruise doesn't lend itself to great opportunities for a daysail but I will try them. Thank you again!
Rare crewsweeper Posted November 26, 2013 #4 Share Posted November 26, 2013 Let me know if he's able to help and what you find and if you enjoyed the day. We're always looking for something different in ports on cruises. If BIL and SIL are with us both love to sail and snorkel and we've done that in Eastern ports. Tell Nacho I said hello.
