No holiday decorations yet. Was on 12/1/10 & last year at this time & remember the tree in the Promenade.

Had a great first day onboard. Muster drill was quick since it was raining. Our station is normally the Aqua Theatre but they gathered everyone near the carousel/Dog House/Donut Shop etc so we wouldn't have to sit in the rain.

We had dinner at Chops, which was great as always. I had prebooked & paid one cover but had no trouble using my D+ 2:1 coupon to pay DH's charge. First time I've gotten to use it since I usually sail solo.

Our cabin is great - splurged for a GS on 6. Tons of space & the bed is comfy.

At Starbucks right now & the cashier remembers me from last year :-) Looks like a beautiful day at sea.

Glad your having a nice time so far and hope the weather is better today!

At Starbucks, can they use the Gold card for payment?.

How is the concierge lounge?

What have you planned for excursions?

Yes you can use your gold card for Starbucks. They can't scan the iPhone app but can punch in your number if you have it. Much easier to bring the card.

Haven't been to the CL yet, but they are using Dazzles for suite/D+/Pinnacle happy hour.

Tomorrow in Labadee I'm planning on spending the day at Barefoot Beach. Don't have any plans for Falmouth. Might just enjoy the ship. Cozumel I'm planning on going to Nachi.

First time I've used the suites sun deck. Comfy chairs & I like how they bring around cold washclothes/fruit etc.

You folks have fun, and try not to break anything on the ship, as my wife and I get on her as you are getting off on Sunday. Try not to leave a mess!!!:D (Kidding)

Hi!! Thanks for letting me know about the Starbucks Card!!

Very nice about the perks on the Suite Sun Deck! I can't wait to check that out... I wonder if you can hear the music later on the suite deck.

Can't wait to hear all about Barefoot Beach!

There is a beach near the port of Falmouth (10 min cab ride), no frills , $3 Red Stripes and food ...it's called My Time N Place.

You will love Nachi!!

Any chance someone would be willing to go down to deck 3 and take a picture of the mysterious escalator or staircase that appears in front of cabin 3858 on the deck plan?

The cabin appears to be midship right below the casino and very near the elevator lobby.

Thanks in advance if you're willing and able.

Sorry for no posts yesterday. I tried to connect but was unsuccessful. Checked today and all my 60 minutes were used. I know I didn't use that much, and I was careful to logoff. I don't know why the minutes were used, but I just bit the bullet and bought the unlimited package for 180 minus 20 % diamond discount. I'll try to catch up postings.

Up around 6:00 this morning and saw evidence of Christmas.

Not long later the tree was up in the promenade and they were hanging snowflakes. be6y3uba.jpg

Pebbles, a hint for Barefoot Beach. Bring some water shoes. Last year I didn't & walking into & out of the water was tough on my tender tootsies. I brought mine this year & had no trouble. Highly recommend water shoes!

It was a great day in Labadee. Had some sprinkles in the morning but eventually the sun came out & it was hot. Enjoyed our over water cabana. Nice place to relax. Didn't do anything else but the guys at the front said if we needed a ride to any other part of the island to just let them know.

We didn't eat at the barbecue so can't tell you anything about it. We headed back to the ship around 2 & had lunch at Rockets.

We meant to go to the special suites sailaway but unfortunately nap time took over.

Having tapas right now at Vintages. Great place to relax, drink some wine & just enjoy.

There are 2 mystery escalators. One forward and one aft (the one you asked about) They are used at ports to get from deck 3 to deck 2 where the gangways are located. You can also take the elevator to deck 2.

There is only one escalator at each location. They run them down when people are mostly leaving, then reverse them to up when people are returning.

I will get a picture tomorrow when we get off in Falmouth.

Much appreciated! We have 3860, 3858, 3856, 3852 and 3848 booked and I was curious how that escalator does or does not interfere with the rooms, as 3858 also appears to have a weird shape on the deck plan.

Wido, I investigated cabin 3858 for you. There is nothing but a wall in front of the cabin. Behind the wall is a ladies restroom, & the elevator lobby. Not sure where the staircase is but there is a crew only area to the back of the elevator lobby.

When we were there looking for the cabin we ran into a lady with a yellow sticky & cabin 3858 written on it. I asked her if she was looking to post on CC...but it turns out it was her cabin & she was having trouble finding it!

Hi Andrea...

Question regarding your cabana at labadee. Do you know which cabana you had and can you tell me if you got a lot of sun?

I have one reserved and I am hoping to get one that still gets sun and isn't too hidden behind the trees.

Thanks and enjoy your cruise!

Thank you Gordon, I am looking for this info also! We really need a picture taken facing the cabin(s) 3856 3858 3860. I just want to make sure that I can walk straight from 3858 to 3856 without the hallway being blocked by a firewall or something built around the escalator. Tyler80 posted that you don't always see the elevator since they usually have it closed off with fire doors.

Thank you so much for taking the time out from your vacation to do so! I hope you are having a great time!! :)

Thanks for the updates and photos. When DW and I were on the Oasis this past year we lost most of our internet minutes and informed the internet manager, she reinstated the lost minutes.

When doing my live report a couple weeks ago, I had mysterious internet credits above the C&A discount on my account. (Did the unlimited package) I never questioned it, but not sure if it may have been because we had internet issues the whole week. It was rough uploading to photo bucket. Still not really sure if it was an internet issue on the ship or an issue with photo bucket.

I've had issues on other ships though where it said more minutes where used and it would time out but the clock still tick and not officially logging out of the system. But tis the fun of using the internet at sea. :D:D
