There were tweets and a report on FB that it was a medical emergency.

There was an announcement on board calling the Search and Rescue team as well as the Medical team. I haven't found any details online.

Disboards peeps are reporting medical emergency... there was a Bright Star announcement in the wee hours, and then the evening stop in Miami... I have not found any mention of search & rescue anywhere but here...

There was an announcement made on Thursday morning that there was someone on board with a medical emergency and we would be stopping in Miami Thursday evening. I did not actually hear the announcement so when I heard the engines making a loud noise as I was lying in bed on Thursday night, I got very nervous. I jumped out of bed and looked outside and we were in Miami:confused: I spoke with another passenger on their balcony and they informed me about the earlier announcement. I watched the emergency personnel take a single person off the ship and take him/her away in an ambulance. Nobody got off with them. I heard the next day that it was a crew member.

Later that night (about 2:30am) as we were sailing to Castaway, their was an in-room announcement over the loudspeaker that said something about Bright Star Deck 9 elevators. Scared me to death because I was totally asleep. Found out in the morning that Bright star means medical emergency. I do not know what happened with this person though.
