Hotels in Santiago, Chile?

In March we stayed in the Crown Plaza and it was a nice modern Hotel. Also have stayed in the Sheraton Four Point and it was O.K., but have stayed in better Hotels. Was convenient for places to eat.

cruiser77: I like to book early, just a personal preference. We had booked an excursion from Santiago to Valparaiso through Port Compass and they got us a discount for the Regency Hyatt--IIRC, it was in the $180/night range. We had complimentary breakfast buffet and they also had high tea in the afternoons, also complimentary. It is really a first-rate, modern and beautiful hotel. Our room had a view of the Andes and was bi-level--the bed was on the elevated portion of the room and there was a large sitting area between the bed and the window that was "sunken" for lack of a better word. The concierge and other staff were excellent. I recall seeing the Marriott--it is also a very nice, modern hotel. Hope this helps.
