Which ship is better.

I am looking to book a Mexican cruise for our family of 3, which includes our son 7 year old son the second week of April 2006. Which ship would you choose. Also, what should the weather be like. Any thoughts and what are the differences and similarities of both ships. thank you.

Price always dictates the cruise I am taken- whats the price difference between the two?

If it was me and the price was right--Id be taking the Princess cruise. I want to try a Princess cruise-- but nothing is ever happening during my time frame that I can cruise. drat.

Besides-- I really want to try personal choice dining where I can dine where I want--when I want AND with whom I want.

I've sailed on both. You can't go wrong with either, although I may be a bit partial towards the Sapphire. We were on the second sailing along with the press so they went all out. We went to Alaska in June and the weather was in the 80's. Everything was perfect!

This question to me is like choosing between two children. They are both great ships in different ways. We have been on the Pride on this route as well as the Saphires sister the Diamond. Carnival gives you a considerably larger room (balcony vs balcony for us) more time in Port and a very well laid out and open ship with a fun loving atmosphere. Princess gives you a beautiful ship, great service and that Princess touch. Our Diamond cruise was our favorite ever but we are going to sail on the Pride in December. You can't go wrong with either ship. Good luck

I know nothing of Princess's children's program, while I know Camp Carnival is very well received by the parents. Look into that, see what works best for you. That, coupled with the price, should be how you may want to decide.... :)
