phillip.bona.9 Posted December 3, 2013 #1 Share Posted December 3, 2013 I am new to this and have been reading about waterworks and slides etc. how is the pool on the Freedom Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Butterbean1000 Posted December 3, 2013 #2 Share Posted December 3, 2013 (edited) Honestly, there isn't much difference in the pools from ship to ship. Not very deep, smallish and filled with salt water. Edited December 3, 2013 by Butterbean1000
Cruizinman Posted December 3, 2013 #3 Share Posted December 3, 2013 There all to small to accommodate the amount of passengers on the ship .

michelle1836 Posted December 3, 2013 #8 Share Posted December 3, 2013 When are you sailing on the Freedom? it has a dry dock and no one knows for sure what changes are coming. it was supposed to be a long drydock but it got shortened.
runner15km Posted December 3, 2013 #9 Share Posted December 3, 2013 There are 3 pools on the Freedom, the aft pool is adults only and has a retractable roof. There is one large spiral slide which ends near the more forward pool. I get a nice swim in when the pool opens at 8am and most times I have it all to myself. We also enjoyed the hottubs after 9PM in the Serenity area on Deck 11, most times the tubs were also empty. ;)

Malibubaby Posted December 3, 2013 #15 Share Posted December 3, 2013 We are on this cruise too. I keep reading that the hot tubs were closed for some reason on some of the recent Freedom cruises. I hope they are open for us!

kycruiser87 Posted December 3, 2013 #17 Share Posted December 3, 2013 We did the same cruise a few years back and we always travel in January too. We braved the pools a few times, the water was pretttttty cold as there are no heaters. I prefer the aft pool much more so, as you can avoid the kiddos. But the slides midship are a lot of fun. My very favorite part of the Freedom is the serenity deck. The top deck has three? hammocks. If you can get one of these at any point in your cruise I highly suggest it. So many times we would snuggle up in our robes on one of those at night and just gaze at the stars. Also, the hot tubs on the serenity deck are phenomenal, you get the best aft view. Have fun, you're in for a wonderful cruise!

near the beach Posted December 3, 2013 #19 Share Posted December 3, 2013 The Freedom does not have water works. Just one water slide.
RogueMonk Posted December 3, 2013 #20 Share Posted December 3, 2013 While the pools are the typical small, shallow, salt-water pools found on cruises ships, they aren't very crowded. Of course, they aren't heated, either.
