Hi...well the more I read I guess the Conquest still has the "old" menus for the dec 15 sailing ...whew

Any recent cruisers - what were the shows? any good?

did they have a Motown show?

How is the piano bar player?

Comedians?

any must do/see/eat and anything to avoid??

Do they have the flat screen tv's?

thanks in advance

(PS - I have never been on Conquest and have heard it is a pretty decor ship?)

On the Conquest now--

Shows so far-- Divas and The Brits-- there is no band but production of sound, lights, and entertainers is very good.

Flat screen tv in our balcony cabin.

Haven't been to the piano bar.

Cruise Director Gary is personable and is a pretty good entertainer.

Food has been good-- all service so far has been excellent.

Quite happy with our choice of this ship.

Have Fun!!

That's good! I was afraid it would be the exact same shows I recently saw. I've seen the Divas show, but not the Brits.

We were on in January and they had a couple of solo guitar players/singers that would sing on the Lido during the day. Also a band with a great female vocalist by the casino in the evenings.

Do they still have anything like that?

Thanks,

Diane

Thanks for the info ..keep it coming please??

the Divas and Brits - is this ONLY one show per night?

I saw the Breeze schedule and it looked that way...I am wondering how we will see the shows if we have late seating??

I look forward to the comedy shows. Do they make you move out of the theater and line up or?? any other juicy details much appreciated..thanks in advance

They made us leave and line back up once that I attended. It made sense, really. We had early dinner so we could easily make the 9:45 and 10:45 shows. But the late seaters would have had a tough time making it to the 9:45. So it seemed fair to give them a shot at a good seat for the second show.

I can't speak to the Conquest, but on our recent cruise on the Breeze, there were 2 performances of the shows at night. We saw Motor City, Divas, and Latin Nights. I thought Divas was pretty weak but enjoyed the other two,of course that's just my opinion.

Thanks.....have a small group this time and group "think" was to switch to early so we are now confirmed for Early seating

been years since I had early but it may make it easier to get to comedy shows <grin>

Thanks for input...any other tidbits or info appreciated

We just finished a 3 week southern/eastern/western b2b2b on the Conquest and it was great. The live music onboard is outstanding - 2 different guitar soloists on Lido during the day, a killer house band called Govt Shutdown who perform in various locations at different times, a very, very good Latin three piece who had 'em dancing everywhere they played, and a great guitar duo who also played a stomp box with their feet for percussion and whatnot. Excellent live music all around.

Just came off the Conquest Dec 8th, and I LOVED it!

It was my first cruise, so I didn't know what to expect. But I was very impressed and had a great time.

I loved that it had all of the 2.0 upgrades. Guy's Burgers were fantastic (Quick tip: Get the "Plane Jane" cheeseburger and add all of your extras at the topping bar. The Pig Patty and the Ringer burgers had more toppings than I cared for.) I also loved the "dueling" bars on the lido deck. We didn't have the Mongolian Wok (at least I don't think we did), but I didn't miss it.

The MDR food was very good. While I was pleased with all of the food served, I especially loved the chilled Strawberry Bisque and the Grand Marnier Souffle. The salmon was great and the southern fried chicken and the lasagna were very good too. And, of course, the WCMC was divine!

I didn't see the comedians, but I did check out DIVAS, and I really liked it. My entertainment of choice was watching the movies on the large screen (Iron Man 2 & 3, Real Steel & The Bourne Supremacy) with the thin-crust pizza that they make fresh on deck.

I have more to say, but I'm still composing my thoughts since it was my very first cruise and there was SO MUCH to take in!

Hi....what are you looking for exactly on fun times? (I don't have a scanner)

the food was good in dining room at dinner and seaday brunch, the back adult pool was nice, Guys burgers were good (hefty LOL)....I liked the Taste Bar, it was open the first 3 days, then closed but back open on the last night. Don't miss the Nonna's Meatballs there - they were a treat

Pizza was good - very thin, more like flatbread. The lines tend to get long

Lines were also long for the lackluster breakfast buffet - my solution was to get a breakfast taco or burrito at the Iguana cafe <grin> Lines there were very short or non existant

Don't forget the Fish and Chips on 2nd floor of buffet - I am not sure that many people even knew it was there?

Government Shutdown band was good , they have a 70's night, a motown night, good singers....they mostly play by casino which can be very crowded, hard to get seats (all those photographers)

My friends liked the Latin group and I did enjoy the duo in the lobby. IMHO the guitar player was pretty stale, same songs over and over and no requests - for example he sings John Denver's Country roads but no other Denver songs

Entertainment taste is subjective I guess but I really would not want to see Diva's and Latin Nights again - and I felt like walking out on the Brits show it was that bad

I saw just a few minutes of Hasbro then left = the passengers are supposed to provide the entertainment I guess on the New Carnival 2.0?

Thanx Sharecruises - I read your reviews and comments from your posts over the last few days and they were very informative. I have to admit I'm a planner and just want to see a FunTimes to get a feel for the different activities available on board as this is my first cruise with Carnival in a warm climate :D My Wife says I have A.D.D. due to my lack of sitting still for too long - that woman will enjoy our cruise on the balcony devouring books, taking naps and knocking back the latest Drink of The Day :p
