Diamond Celebration "surprise"

I think I figured it out. I was told that they were getting a calendar on the second leg of their B2B, because the first leg began in Nov. and the full cruise has to be in Dec., not between the two months. I just assumed that it was because they were doing a B2B and/or because they were Pinnacle. That is why we didn't get one at that time, because our cruise started in Nov. and ended in Dec. No big deal, if we get one, I will be happy though. Nice collectors gift. I know I won't win a cruise, that's for sure. :rolleyes:

I wouldn't get my hopes up. They probably need to save some for Bingo and Trivia prizes. There might be a shortage of key chains, LOL!

They haven't kicked diamonds out of hour lounge, and are giving everyone a calendar , and entering diamonds in a drawing for a free cruise.

 

This on top of them having the best consistent loyalty program in the biz, even with a few changes over the years.

 

First. World. Problems. People complaining need to be happy they can afford the luxury of being diamond members on a cruise line. Geez people.

A friend of ours was on Brilliance over Thanksgiving and at the Top Tier party they were told that there would be a "surprise" for the Diamond celebration beginning Dec 2nd. We are on Brilliance next weekend and wondered if anyone has news of what the "surprise" is? He wants us to email him and tell him since they would not spill the beans on the ship last weekend

 

Anyone heard anything yet on what it might be??

 

Just got off the liberty of the seas Thursday, December 12. WOW

What a surprise gift we got you'll be Surprised !!!! I will not keep you in suspense any longer my wife and I each received a Royal Caribbean calendar WOW . That was a real surprise !!!!

Just got off the Explorer for 10 days, I think the "surprise" is all Diamond, Diamond Plus and Pinnacle Crown & Anchor members sailing in the month of December will be automatically entered into a Quantum of the Seas drawing. Three winners will be announced in January 2014. The prize includes a balcony stateroom for two anytime in 2015 valued at $4000.

Sorry I forgot about that. Also for every 25 points you accumulate in the casino you get another entry into the drawing. If you want the entry into the drawing for the free cruise you cannot redeem the points for the gifts in the casino. Therefore 500 points would get you 20 extra entries.

On our Legend cruise last month they had the same promo. 25 points for one entry in a Quantum drawing. I think I got 4 entries. :D

We were on the same cruise!!! :D

 

We got one calendar between dh & I - but we each got our own Christmas Card from Royal--- plus our "chance" to win a cruise. We are celebrating :cool: :rolleyes:

The calendars are actually very nice and high quality. They aren't made out of cheap paper but are thick heavy weight paper with super nice pictures. I really like mine. I enjoy seeing a picture of a favorite ship included along with a retro picture of ships I've never been on or seen.

 

They are also still giving out a nice big crystal award to the top three cruisers on each sailing. So that's also an unexpected surprise.

 

I don't expect to win the Quantum cruise sailing but you can't win if you don't enter.

Thankfully only the top cruiser gets the big trophy. we got the diamond for being #2 - much easier to get home. and prettier, IMO.

Yes it is amazing what they can make in those Chinese labs...who knows what they will fetch on E-Bay....maybe enough for a drink or two on the ship.....;):D
