Cruise to Nowhere Questions

Suites have breakfast and lunch in Cagney's, not dinner. On the 1 nighter you'll have lunch in Cagney's when you get on the ship and breakfast in Cagney's the next morning before getting off. I did the 1 nighter on the Gem last month. It was a fun night.

I called and asked if there was room service on the cruise to nowhere. The rep told me that if you are booked in a haven suite, you receive room service. Is this true?

I was on a 2 night CTN on the Jewel in February. No room service. I was in the OS. Have fun!

There was no room service on the CTN I did a few weeks ago. Also no soda or drink packages.

:(

Although what can one expect with prices as low as they have been on these CTNs! I guess we can all splurge on a few drinks considering the fare was $34pp for an inside stateroom. haha.

Did you still get the ship pin for being a Latitudes member? From what the website said, that and the onboard discounts are the only things offered on all sailings; everything else is just for 5 nights or longer.

I did not receive a welcome letter or pin in my cabin. I did go to the Latitudes office to see if I could get the pin but the line was too long and I never had a chance to go back.

I went to the lattitudes desk on my Jewel 2 nighter and asked for a pin. I forgot to go to the desk on my Gem 1 nighter last month  I'll just have to book another cruise on the Gem to get one lol ;)

There's a Gem one nighter coming up on Friday ... dirt cheap!

I saw!! Cheaper than last months 1 nighter. I usually go on the CTN's with my mom and she'll be on the Breakaway next week.

I'm on the one next week! Can't wait! It is my first CTN so I hope it doesn't disappoint.

Your mom will LOVE the Breakaway! She is a beautiful ship! :D

It won't disappoint. One nighters are a lot of fun. Will see you onboard.

And I agree about Breakaway. Loved it.

I just got an email from my TA about the upcoming Norweigan cruises to nowhere. I live less than an hour from port and seriously thinking about booking one. We've never sailed Norweigan but excited to try it out. Who mostly sails on these? I don't want to feel like an outsider but the price is so cheap not to try it!! We've never done a CTN on any line.

All sorts of people! Of course you will have a lot of hard partyers but a lot are not. We took my nephew on a trip to NYC and a 2 night cruise for his 18th. We dined in Le Bistro. I did a spa treatment. We gambled. Casino was crowded and smoky with high minimums. But it was the same sailaway as any cruise. Still get goosebumps.

I just did the CTN on the Gem last weekend and it was a blast! There was actually a really good mix of demographics but definitely less small kids than on some standard length cruises! :D

A lot of friends travelling together for a weekend getaway [i went with 3 other guys for a boys night out] but also a good amount of couples were on board as well. Most people were from the northeast [NY, New England, Penn.] as it was a cheap weekend if within driving distance.

This was my first CTN also and I, like you are, was a bit apprehensive but the prices right now can't be beat. I did find the food and service were not quite as good as a normal length trip but it was satisfactory. If The Second City is still performing next month I would HIGHLY recommend catching their show in the evening. I missed them on the Breakaway last September but am glad I got to catch them on this short sailing...well worth the time.

A few years ago I thought a 1 night CTN was a good way to see what NCL had to offer. I've been back on more CTNs (including last Friday's) and longer NCL cruises too. You'll only find out if you give it a try! We also live a short train ride from NYC. I wouldn't travel far for a one nighter.
