Laundry rooms on Imagination?

We are on the 16 day Panama Canal Imagination cruise in January. Several who are Platinum but would prefer to do their own laundry were asking if there are laundry rooms on the Imagination. Trying to pack less.

 

Does anyone who has been on the Imagination know? The deck plans don't show any but then they're not always 100% correct.

Location: Upper Deck 6 - aft / across from stateroom U154

Empress Deck 7 - forward / across from stateroom E2

Hours: hours posted on the door to the Laundry

Function: Self-Service Launderette

· 2 or 3 washers

· 2 or 3 dryers

· 1 iron and ironing board

· Vending machines dispense small boxes of detergent and water softener

This information is from my cruise in Feb, 2013 and is MY opinion only.

 

The laundry facility was in need of repair as only 2 of the 4 washers were working and only 2 of the 4 dryers as well. No place to sit other than in the hall on the floor. I had packed light so I had to use facilities. Trip planned for March and packing differently to avoid this issue. I spent 3 hours of my vacation doing laundry.

I've done laundry on B2B cruises. Easy enough. New ships takes S&S cards. Older ships need quarters. You can get them at Guest Services or casino.

 

Laundry rooms also have irons. (free).

Since the Imagination is an older ship, it takes quarters? It had dry dock in September. Does that make a difference? Anyone been on Imagination since her dry dock in September?
