Ultimate Value Booklet / Coupon Booklet

Hey,

I'm sure this is mentioned somewhere, but I can't seem to find it.

I understand that on the Oasis/Allure, the coupons are pre-loaded onto your seapass, rather than being physical paper coupons. Is that definitely the case?

And if so, then how do you know what the coupons are in advance?

You will get a letter in your stateroom with a list of the coupons you have.

On the Allure, you can use the TV with its interactive system to see what coupons you still have available. As you use them, they will go away.

But with the new electronic coupons, they have sacrificed the match play casino coupons. I always used those.

I didn't think I'd like the "pre-loaded" coupons on my SeaPass card, but found that it really is convenient! Can't tell you how many times I'd forget to bring the coupons with me and either had to run back to my room or forego the discount. Just make sure you tell your server if you don't want to use a particular "coupon." For example, we wanted to use our "buy one - get one" wine in Vintages, so when we stopped for a glass of wine in another bar we just told the server not to apply the "coupon".

I used a GOGO drinks coupon last week. It was the first time I have used one - as I never had them with me!

So I vote - "an imporvement".

Opposite experience for me, almost never forgot to carry the couple of coupons we are likely to use, have yet to have a good experience with the electronic ones. Seems to involve multiple attempts to get them used and usually a trip to Guest Services to get them fixed :(

We will definitely use the BOGO drink coupon.

1--Do both of the drinks have to be the same; for example can 1 be a beer and 1 be a glass of wine?

2--Does the beer have to be draft or can it be in a bottle?

3--We seldom carry cash while on the ship unless we are going to the casino. Will we have a slip to sign so we can add tip, or do we need to bring the cash?

4--Do we need to tell the server that we wish to use a coupon?

Thanks for all responses!

Don't know the answer to #1. The beer can be either draft or bottle. You can add tip to the receipt you sign. I would tell the server up front whether you do or do not want to use a coupon.

Not sure on #1

On #2, Liberty of the Seas (11/13) informed me that the coupon was only good for glasses and that bottles didn't count, therefore the coupon could not be applied to any of the transactions made prior but if I wanted to go order two more drafts and then come back to Guest Services they would be happy to make sure the coupon was applied. This was late on the last night so I just dropped it.

On #2, Allure of the Seas (3/14) informed me that they couldn't figure out how to make it work on buying 2 drafts but finally on the 4th waiter that tried (2 in Schooner Bar, 2 in the Pub) one of the guys in Schooner was able to give me 2 bottles of beer for the price of one. However, rather than applying the coupon he rang up two and then voided one.

On #2, Vision of the Seas (7/14) I said the heck with it, bought the drink package and the whole thing was irrelevant.

Like I said the digital coupons have been nothing but a nightmare for me :) Everyone else seems to have no problems though !

You need to basically know what your entitled to in advance by looking it up under FAQ from my cruises

Plus they will give you a welcome letter when you board stating what you have in the way of benefits loaded km to your card

Does anyone know if you have to purchase the 2 drinks at the same time? My partner doesn't drink so i just wondering if i'm having a beer by the pool, will i have to order 2 of them at once...I would prefer not to drink a warm beer! I guess if i get wine in the dining room, i can have 2 glasses at once.

Talk with your bar server. Sometimes they will let you get the second drink a little later.

Just off the Liberty. We are Emerald, I figured we should have coupons as we have received them before and our cruise in April they left a paper saying what we could use our coupons for (loaded on your seapass) This cruise not sure if they forgot the paper saying what we had coupons for, so just went to guest relations and they gave us a paper saying what we had available.

I always ask the pool server to bring the beers in a bucket of ice, that way the second one does not get warm. They always do that for me.

Just a word of advice - you may want to tell your server if you don't want to use a coupon. I ordered a drink from the bar and he automatically applied a discount to it when I actually wanted to save it to apply to a more expensive glass of wine.
