What a great book i just finished. It just came out this year. Was going to take it on my christmas cruise but i just couldn't wait to read it.

We were on Carib Princess 3 weeks ago & they play re-runs of Love Boat everyday (Pacific Princess)

In my years of cruising, I've never seen a captain in shorts.

It's a British thing mostly. Looking at your list of cruises I'd say your "years of cruising" haven't included the years when Princess and P&O were essentially one company.

Hmm ... I wonder if the current crop of P&O captains still wear shorts? Anyone?

Haven't taken a non-US run ship yet, looked at P&O's website and didn't' see anything that suited me.
