vnyislesv Posted December 26, 2013 #2 Share Posted December 26, 2013 The family and I will be traveling on the Carnival Breeze in July 2015 for my twin girls graduation present. I have been on the Carnival Dream twice and Royal Caribbean The Allure Of The Seas. I am trying to find out information on the Breeze. Any and all input is welcome, thank you. ive been on 1 cruise, the breeze, a few months ago. i cant compare it to anything but it was the most amazing, relaxing, fun time i ever had and it took me til the 8th day to realize it. im a young 30 year old single guy, didnt find the nightlife was up to my liking and the drinks were light and expensive but it had absolutely everything else (glad i brought my own liquor). cool casino, awesome food, super nice and clean boat, awesome staff... hopefully ill be going on the glory early feb but if not, carnival and i will be hanging out again, very soon. you'll enjoy it, your daughters will enjoy it, thats a guarantee. i youtube'd the boat to see where everything is and peoples reactions, it was 100% fun. k2excursion Posted December 26, 2013 #3 Share Posted December 26, 2013 Breeze's waterpark is on par with Dream's. The Breeze added the ropes course (which was fun to do a couple times) & the 4D theater (extra cost). I paid for the 4D theater, and it gave me something to do in the evenings. The nightlife on the Breeze is a bit tame, and there's not much going on, especially compared to Dream. Breeze's theater shows are not very good, very disappointing compared to Dream & certainly when compared to Allure. But these nighttime drawbacks might not matter to you. Breeze added on the Guys burgers, Blue Iguana cantina (burrito bar), and the pasta bar at lunch turns into an Italian restaurant at dinner for an extra cost. Breeze will not have burgers later in the evening, and it will not serve a Mexican buffet at the deck party. Late evening food is pizza only on the Breeze. I mention the negatives just to be fair & so you'll be prepared. Breeze is still a great ship.
okgirl Posted December 26, 2013 #4 Share Posted December 26, 2013 The Breeze is a great ship, I've been on her twice. She has all the updated amenities and a beautiful décor. Since you are going in July, there will be plenty of older teens on board. Unfortunately, there is a bit of a disconnect for the 18 to 20 age group in the absence of organized activities. I would suggest that you go to carnival.com and click on the ship and take a virtual tour of all the spaces. Also, study the deck plans so you don't spend too much time being lost. Rare pirate4me2 Posted December 26, 2013 #5 Share Posted December 26, 2013 Breeze was amazing, my favorite ship so far. The water park was fun and we could always find something yummy to eat. The shows were OK, and we aren't big nightclub people so I can't comment on that but we found fun stuff to do...hang out at the piano bar or listen to music in the Red Frog Pub. Overall it was awesome.
Aplmac Posted December 26, 2013 #6 Share Posted December 26, 2013 I would suggest that you go to carnival.com and click on the ship and take a virtual tour of all the spaces. Also, study the deck plans so you don't spend too much time being lost. I don't know how people get by without Deck Plans! I study them well beforehand, so I have a fairly good idea of exactly where everything is. It's not Rocket Science. ;) Start here for BREEZE...on Promenade Deck 5 which goes all the way around the ship, bow to stern and everything in between! http://www.cruisecheap.com/c/deckplan.php?SailDate=&ShipID=569900&DeckNumber=5 .
