fielddreamer Posted December 27, 2013 #2 Share Posted December 27, 2013 Before I book I like to know is Princess Cruises have heated swimming pools. I just came off the Royal and the pools were fresh water and about 75' all through the cruise. At least on the Royal the temp is just perfect. mirthu Posted December 27, 2013 Author #3 Share Posted December 27, 2013 Thank you! I dont like cool water, like the swimming pool on carnival cruise!
dorisis Posted December 27, 2013 #4 Share Posted December 27, 2013 If you are on a ship with enclosed pool (usually Lotus Adult area), they may be warmer than the others in cool weather.
cruzboss Posted December 27, 2013 #5 Share Posted December 27, 2013 Can anybody tell me if the main pool on the Sapphire has a covered roof?
Vexorg Posted December 27, 2013 #6 Share Posted December 27, 2013 Yes, the Sapphire Princess has a covered pool, as do the Grand, Golden, Star, Diamond, Coral and Island.
hpeabody Posted December 27, 2013 #7 Share Posted December 27, 2013 Can anybody tell me if the main pool on the Sapphire has a covered roof? Sapphire Princess has 1 covered pool on the Lido deck. I believe this one is called Calypso. There are 2 pools on the Lido deck and are basically next to each other mid ship. The Lotus pool I have never seen covered, although it is shady if want shade. I like this one because it is adults only.
Loonbeam Posted December 27, 2013 #8 Share Posted December 27, 2013 Most of the main pools have the capacity to be heated. That doesn't mean the ship will do so, it depends on conditions, demand, etc.
RickEk Posted December 27, 2013 #9 Share Posted December 27, 2013 Princess says that at least one pool will be heated. You'll have to ask which one on your voyage...or check the TV. One of the channels usually has the temperatures of each pool...

One of the channels usually has the temperatures of each pool... We'll be on one of their small ships, the Ocean Princess. I believe it has only one pool. Will it be heated? The temperature in the summer in the British Isles is not as warm as most of the places where cruises go.
Gunner22aa Posted December 28, 2013 #11 Share Posted December 28, 2013 We were on the Golden about 6 weeks ago. One of the tv channels is the information channel and they had the temperatures of all of the pools on it. They went between 81 and 83 degrees
ellie1145 Posted December 28, 2013 #12 Share Posted December 28, 2013 (edited) We were on Diamond Princess in November and the pool in the Conservatory was really hot, just like a bath, they did cool it a little after people complained, but I have to say I loved it being warm. Never found a warm pool on a cruise ship before, they are usually freezing, wouldn't even dip my feet in a pool that was in the 70s! ;) even 83 or 85 is too cold for me.
