Coffee machines/kettles in staterooms?

Usually only in Junior Suites and better. If the ship is sailing out of the UK, then they usually put tea kettles in every stateroom. You can always ask.

I've only seen them in suites, never had one in a regular cabin.

If I have read your previous posts correctly, looks like you are sailing on Jewel. There is a coffee/tea station outside the Windjammer buffet for when you want coffee. Also room service is an option. Coffee is always available in all the eating venues as well, plus there is a nice little coffee bar called Lattetudes, which serves specialty and brewed coffee for a fee (and has delicious little squares and cookies! Yum!).
