free cappuccino?

I just received the new Viking brochure and it mentions cappuccino

as one of the drinks offered at no charge. But on their web site,

specialty coffees are not included as free.

Anyone recently on a Viking cruise notice if cappuccino is included as a free

coffee? It has always been a favorite treat of mine.

We just returned from a Rhine River cruise on the Viking longboat, the Rinda. There are 2 machines on the upper deck in the sitting area just outside the lounge that made all sorts of hot drinks - coffee, espresso, chocolate, etc. including cappuccino. They are available 24/7. Usually there are cookies or some snack also available. In the morning there's also OJ.

 

I'm not sure if cappuccino is offered in the DR after dinner. We sometimes had coffee - but never asked about specialty coffees.

I think that "specialty coffees" may be irish coffee, spanish coffee etc. --> ie: those coffees that include alcohol.

 

Most (if not all ) river boats have a specialty coffee maker in the lounge, so cappuccinos are available free of charge 24/7

For those that prefer tea, there was a nice assortment available.

These beverage stations were one of my favorite things on the Idun, our first Viking cruise. I'm not a coffee drinker(although as mentioned, there is a nice choice of various coffees), but I enjoyed the selection of teas and the choice of still or "bubbly" water, as I drink Pelligrino at home. There was a selection of pastries in the morning at the stations, and cookies at teatime.
