AliceS Posted January 6, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 6, 2014 Is the Silhouette doing the Elite cocktail Happy Hour or drink tickets? Alice
JLightning11 Posted January 6, 2014 #2 Share Posted January 6, 2014 A couple of weeks ago on the transatlantic, they did tickets. Not sure if its always that way or just depends on the number of elites on board.
dkjretired Posted January 6, 2014 #3 Share Posted January 6, 2014 A couple of weeks ago on the transatlantic, they did tickets. Not sure if its always that way or just depends on the number of elites on board. Two weeks ago on the Dec. 15 cruise they did the lounge, no tickets. Whether they use tickets or have the cocktail parties has nothing to do with which ship you are on. It has everything to do with how many elites and above are on the cruise. When there are too many they use the tickets, if not so many they have the party. You will not know what they are doing until you actually get on the cruise and read your letter in your stateroom, it may vary from week to week. Actually, I have to amend that as sometimes Celebrity sends out emails if they are using the tickets.
AliceS Posted January 6, 2014 Author #4 Share Posted January 6, 2014 Thanks.....guess I'll wait and see. Either way will be fine with me, but I think that I would prefer the tickets?? Can't complain about getting the free beverages wither way. Alice
Despegue Posted January 6, 2014 #5 Share Posted January 6, 2014 Well, we MUCH prefer the vouchers. Much more choice in both venues and drinks ( as with the vouchers, you can choose any drink that is included in the Classic Alcoholic package so up to 9$)
momzcruzing Posted January 6, 2014 #6 Share Posted January 6, 2014 Having experienced the Celebrity Elite lounge on four previous cruises, ranging from 20 to 700 elites on board. We recently experienced the vouchers for the first time and loved them. We found a favorite bar and bartender and got all sorts of frozen and mixed drinks that we had never experienced in the lounge. He was happy to let the 5-7pm time frame slide a bit to one side or another and of course we could carry our drinks anywhere on the ship to enjoy with other non-elite friend which is a drawback of the elite event. The wine selection was more extensive than in the elite lounge and two evenings he even delivered glasses of our favorite wines to the dining room for 8:30 pm seating. He spoiled us terribly and we tipped him well. This will probably never happen again but it sure was nice while it lasted!
