I was not impressed with Anoop on the Getaway in May. He was not the least bit attentive with us and seemed annoyed if we asked him anything. Virginia was our favorite so far.

I agree. We were on the Getaway in April with 18 family members. Somehow we managed to mess up our dinner reservations and Anoop bent over backwards helping us straignten everything out. By the way, the 18 of us were in suites but we had 4 additional family members who were not in suites. Anoop allowed the non-suite guests to join us in the Haven where we were then accompanied as a group to the Illiusionarium.

Yes, Sean is supposed to be there in January.

 

Ruth said she is leaving end of January, and that Adrian is taking over. But I only asked about the 31st... not sure if the one prior was her last, or if she leaves before that.

 

Actually, what she said when I asked about the 31st was "no, I'll be home at that time getting ready to head to LA to board the Star"..... so it seems as though the cruise prior she'll have left already.

 

 

So short answer (long answer) is it will be either Ruth or Adrian.

Oh, I hope it is Adrian!!

 

I've never had the pleasure of meeting Adrian and only know him by his fine reputation.

 

But I have sailed with Ruth and place her in the top five Concierges I've met in 21 NCL cruises.

 

At first Ruth comes off gruff.

(e.g. The first time I met her, at pre boarding check in at Instanbul, I naively asked if there was a possible upgrade.

Ruth told me "go sit down, I will find out" in her heavy Germanic accent.

I thought I'd offended her and began to apologize and she replied, "GO SIT DOWN, I TOLD YOU I WILL FIND OUT".)

 

Ten minutes later we we escorted to a two catagory higher suiite.

I learned a vabluable lesson.

Do whatever Ruth tells you to do, without question or hesitation. ;):D
