Question re the "Fast Ferry" Skagway/Haines

If I buy tickets online in advance, does that GUARANTEE me a seat on the ferry? Am thinking about leaving at 7:30 am from Skagway, returning at 1:30 pm. My concern is that I could get "bumped" by ship shorex participants.

Have you called the Alaska Ferry people? They have a phone number and seems as if they should know.

Just for clarification -- the fast ferry between Haines and Skagway is not part of the Alaska Marine Highway (Alaska state ferry) system. We considered taking it last summer, but in the end chose to do something else while in Skagway. The phone number for the fast ferry b/ Haines and Skagway is 1-888-766-2103.
