Can anyone tell me if the lower Manhattan hop-on/hop-off buses are wheelchair accessible? Also what excursions in lower Manhattan are wheelchair accessible (i.e. subway, empire state building, rockefeller center, ferry around the statute of liberty, etc.)

Thank you so much!

I would also post this question on the disabled cruisers board.

The NY subway web site identifies accessible subway stations. I believe the NY buses are accessible. The problem with the subway is that you run the risk that an elevator at your destination station is broken, so you would have to be prepared with the detailed maps and information to deal with that.

Have you checked the web sites for the various excursions you are interested in to see what they say about accessibility? You can always call these places to verify the information.
