zino5 Posted January 9, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 9, 2014 We will be on the Reflection on June 13th out of Rome I was just looking at making reservations for Tuscan Grille Children are allowed to dine there correct, Just not in Murano? My son will be 8 and has excellent table manners..and loves good food Two years ago on our Alaskan cruise we ate at the Steakhouse on another line and he is still talking about the Lobster Bisque and Lobster Raviloi he had. Thanks
mom2kandj Posted January 9, 2014 #2 Share Posted January 9, 2014 We did the silhouette just a few weeks ago with 4 kids ages 8, 10, 11 & 13. We did Tuscan with the three older kids & the lawn club grill with all four. The youngest had struggled with the timing in the mdr(easily remedied with two dessert courses!), but could have done Tuscan as the pacing wasn't quite so slow. The other children enjoyed the immensely. They all really enjoyed the lawn club and making flatbread!
JanineM Posted January 9, 2014 #3 Share Posted January 9, 2014 The only thing I would caution you on is the duration of the meal. You may be sitting for 2 hours & they do not rush the meal. You might want to bring a book or something to keep your little guy from being bored between courses.

Thanks As you suspected only Murano is a problem except for Blu if you are in a suite. Here's the policy from the web site. Guests dining in the following Specialty Restaurants must be at least 12 years old: Murano, SS United States, The Olympic, Ocean Liners, The Normandie. Also, children of any age that are booked in AquaClass® staterooms are welcome to dine in Blu with an adult. Additionally, onboard our Solstice® Class ships, children that are booked in suites that are at least 12 years old will be accommodated in Blu when dining with an adult, based on availability only. Please note a $5 per guest gratuity is recommended for any suite guests dining in Blu.

Johnny Heedless Posted January 9, 2014 #6 Share Posted January 9, 2014 Last time we were at Murano on the Silhouette, there were two tables that had very well-behaved tables with kids that were clearly younger than 12. At least on that cruise, they weren't enforcing their rules.
shoelover536 Posted January 9, 2014 #7 Share Posted January 9, 2014 I would look at Qsine (menu is on an ipad, fun presentions of food, dessert menu on rubix cube) and Lawn Clulb Grill (you can help "cook" - especially with the flatbread appetizer). He might also enjoy those!
