steph8564 Posted July 17, 2005 #1 Share Posted July 17, 2005 I know this is not exacty the most important question out there, but I have a child that religiously reads the newspaper every day. She would like to know if there are any newspapers other then the Royal Gazette availble in Bermuda? If so, can you tell us the closest places to the ship to get them. Thanks... Swizzle v2.0 Posted July 18, 2005 #2 Share Posted July 18, 2005 There are two others: Bermuda Sun and Mid-Ocean News but neither of them are daily, the Sun is twice-weekly and I think Mid-Ocean is weekly. The Gazette is the only local daily newspaper. Newspapers are available at any convenince store, grocery, cafe or diner. There are no newspaper boxes. steph8564 Posted July 19, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted July 19, 2005 Are there any American newspapers brought in on a daily basis?
gopatriots Posted July 20, 2005 #4 Share Posted July 20, 2005 Our hotel had the Boston Globe. If I recall correctly, Saturday's cost $7.50. and I believe the Sunday NY Times cost $9.50. We didn't buy either. The hotel also had USA today but I don't know how much it cost. I'm sure you'll be able to find a US paper in Hamilton. Have a great trip. Swizzle v2.0 Posted July 20, 2005 #5 Share Posted July 20, 2005 Some stores will have US newspapers. If you're in Hamilton you could also try the public library, I'm sure they have a couple of US newspapers and if so you can read them for free.
