Arrive at 10am leaving at 6pm enough time?

We arrive at 10 and the ship leaves at 6 would there be enough time to get to trunk bay sort out the taxis, spend a few hours at the beach and have enough time to get a ferry back obout 3 or 4. Is there any issues getting a taxi when you need one and about how much would it cost? Thanks.

You should make the 11AM Red Hook ferry and taking the 3PM return ferry you'd have a few hours at the beach. With the noon ferry less time but still almost a couple. Quick beach day for sure but doable and the RH ferry is the quickest option.

Roundtrip/person is about $50.
