trinaM Posted June 11, 2014 #26 Share Posted June 11, 2014 May have to splurge on Crown Grill. In May I "splurged" on the Crown Grill. I was Underwelmed. The steak was no big deal and the sides just so so. For the extra price I didn't think it was worth what I paid. That said I have in past had great meals from the Princess cruiselines specialty restaurants. Have a good one.
paluni Posted June 11, 2014 #27 Share Posted June 11, 2014 I thought the mocha mousse was fabulous when it appeared. But it doesn't appear all the time. I would sometimes have more than one.
SparkleBee Posted June 22, 2014 #28 Share Posted June 22, 2014 the onion soup at Crown Grill was amazing! trying to think of something amazing we had at the MDR but can't. in general we found the food to be "good" but not outstanding.
pppatpc2 Posted June 24, 2014 #29 Share Posted June 24, 2014 Definitely do the Chef's dinner, if you can. My favorites: Oxtail pasta Reuben sandwich Rack of Lamb & Parmesan Frites (Crown Grill) Salt crusted fish (Sabatini's) Short Ribs Crouching Tiger Martini (only on some ships, otherwise Raspberry Martini) 24K margarita There's my 2 cents

Bookish Angel Posted November 8, 2014 #32 Share Posted November 8, 2014 Also, a good gazpacho that seemed without vinegar, which to me, ruins any food to which it is added.
chrisandkaryn Posted February 8, 2015 #33 Share Posted February 8, 2015 would the menus on Diamond Princess be similar to those on Golden Princess or Crown Princess?
kellanrevere Posted February 26, 2015 #34 Share Posted February 26, 2015 Princess usually does EXCELLENT beef. I also love their sorbets for dessert in the MDR. Cronuts and almond croissants in the International Cafe. Pizza, hamburgers and hot dogs by the pool. ;)
