Frode Posted April 11, 2015 #251 Share Posted April 11, 2015 Wow - what a page; I love the photos !:) We (coming from Stockholm, Sweden) will cruise for the first time onboard a NCL-vessel, i e "Norwegian Jade" from Venice, departing May 23rd. Levanah Posted April 11, 2015 #252 Share Posted April 11, 2015 Thanks for posting these pics! If I'm not mistaken, the fourth photo is of the vanilla soufflé with warm mango pineapple sauce. I enjoyed this dessert on the Star last week and it was surprisingly the best dessert of the week! :) It takes a little longer due to the preparation and well worth the wait! I highly recommend accompanied by a cappuccino.
Sand and Seas Posted April 12, 2015 #253 Share Posted April 12, 2015 They used to serve the Souffles several nights a week. If more of us ask, maybe they will bring all those great flavors back! I'll try any flavor, but remember a wonderful chocolate version with a vanilla sauce from years ago. If you are a souffle dessert lover too, go to Caesars Las Vegas Bacchanal Buffet. You have to ask at the dessert counter and they will bake them up fresh for you.

We love cruising with a big group of family (11 of us this time, but we've cruised with 25 before), and eating and enjoying together makes it even better! We all look forward to the food. ppstateofmind Posted July 7, 2015 #261 Share Posted July 7, 2015 Would some of you agree that when it comes to presentation, NCL is not very good at it? In some pics they look a bit sloppy. For the record, I value taste more than presentation. :p

Like you though I'm all about the taste and a happy tummy.

bangzoom6877 Posted July 7, 2015 #264 Share Posted July 7, 2015 Personally, I prefer my food hot if a bit scruffy than cold and pretty. I've had "pretty food" before (not on NCL, it's usually at a wedding) that doesn't taste good. Either lacking flavor, or not the proper temperature, etc. I'd rather have food that tastes great! Similarly, here at home some of our favorite places to eat look like a tiny hole in the wall but have the best food. It's not always about presentation or ambience, sometimes it really is about the food itself.
