Coral - Overbooked for 1/19/14

We received a phone call from Princess looking for people to give up their cruise to Panama leaving on 1/19. They are over booked. We were offered a March sailing and 1/2 of our money back, plus upgrade to a mini suite and help with air fare. I cannot get the time off of work in March to have made the switch and I am not sure that I would want to wait another 50 or more days. I am so ready to go on this trip.

We were offered a similar deal a couple of years ago. We accepted but chose a date that worked for us.

Interesting as that is usually a time when it's less popular. I wonder if there's a large group onboard?

Don't feel bad for not taking the offer. You obviously need the vacation now. There will be others that are more able to take the offer like those that live close to the port or retirees. Bon voyage!

A big percentage of all Princess cruises are oversold and they do lots of move over offers.
They have this down to a science! :)

I am not sure that I would take it either. Been looking forward to this trip for over 2 years when DW set her retirement date for December 31, 2013. Deal sounds great but would not want to wait. What deck are you on? We are on Carib
