Playa Palancar (Beach)

We would like to go to leeward side of the island. Would someone know the costs for a taxi and/or van to get from the port to this beach. We are trying to compare the cost difference for 6 people for taking a tour to just hiring a taxi.

$20 for taxi of 4 from the International Pier one way. You do not need to tip the cab drivers.

$20 from Puerta Maya each way for up to 4 passengers. We love Palancar and go there almost every time we are in Cozumel.

It is a $20 ride to Palcancar...it's a great beach! I absolutely love it! However, I highly recommend tipping the driver. Not sure why you wouldn't tip the driver...we've always have great taxi drivers, very informative and friendly.
