tinaparrotthead Posted January 15, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 15, 2014 The last time we cruised Celebrity Summit, a couple of years ago at least I think..... The buffet was always closed during dinner/supper hours. They had an "alternative" resturant in a portion of the buffet but that was the only choice (other than pizza). Can someone that has been on the Summit recently tell me if this has changed? Do they have the buffet open during dinner/supper hours?? Thank you much much to all that respond!!!! Happy Cruising!!!! WestLakeGirl Posted January 15, 2014 #2 Share Posted January 15, 2014 The alternative dining is no longer there. You'll find a buffet in the evening. salad, pasta, a couple of entrees, some sides, desserts. Not as extensive as on some ships but you won't starve
gracecarmo Posted January 15, 2014 #3 Share Posted January 15, 2014 (edited) The buffet has greatly improved, as we ate there frequently on our 14 day Canada/New England voyage in September. There is a made to order section aft (where the sandwich bar is for lunch), serving steak, chicken, pork chop, baked potato vega etc.. Also pasta bar, sushi, and Asian offerings. We only ate in the MDR once, and alternated between the Buffet and Specialty. It was very relaxing to eat at the Buffet, no noise. Bar service is also available, but waiters few. We just got our wine from the aft bar, or the little bar at the entrance. Edited January 15, 2014 by gracecarmo
