Tips for cruising with baby on adventure if the seas/smaller ships without royal babi

Recommended Posts

Bring everything your baby needs. There are very few supplies on board. You might want to being a duck tub to bath baby in. Disposible bibs are great. Bring all medications and your sheets for the crib/pack-in-play.

There's a great Family board with tons of information. You might want to check that out.

Have a great family cruise.:)

There may be in cabin babysitting available, if there is no Royal Tots babysitting....

That said, whatever/however you take care of your child at home is what you'll do on the ship! Since small tots tend to go to bed earlier, having a cabin with a balcony will give you someplace "to be" once baby is down for the night, or naps!

And yes...definitely bring all you will need for the baby! Start keeping track of how many diapers you'll need for the week...and bring a few extras!!

Don't avoid the MDR....they are very good with kids, and it's easier to be served, than dealing with a buffet!

We sailed on Navigator of the Seas with our 18 month old 2 years ago and had a fabulous time. He loved exploring all the new surroundings and didn't miss the fact that he couldn't swim onboard and didn't have a kids club. He did amazing in the MDR as another poster mentioned they really catered to him there. He kept us busy during the day but it was so much fun to experience it all through his eyes. We had a team of helpers with him, but did most of the entertaining ourselves as we wanted the others to really enjoy their vacation as well. We had a balcony room and it was fantastic for spending time together after our son was asleep.

We sail on Adventure a few weeks after you the same kiddo who is now 3.5 and our other son who will be 16 months old then. This time we're doing it by ourselves and really looking forward to it. If your on the same itinerary we are, a port every day but 1 I bet you won't really miss not being able to use the pool onboard. There will be plenty of beach to make up for it.

Have a fantastic time!!
