Does RC change formal night for Super Bowl?

Sailing on the Liberty on February 1st and believe that Sunday is usually formal night. Will that change because of the Super Bowl?

Yes...formal night will be the next night after the Super Bowl.

I have been on 2 cruises during the SB and they set the ship up with football munchies and big screen tv usually in Studio B, or the theater.

Now a lot of ships have a super large screen out on the pool deck and they most likely will show the game there as well.

We were on Navigator last year for Super Bowl and they switched formal night.

 

We will be on Oasis for super bowl this year and I've heard people say that they don't change it on the Oasis class ships. Anyone else hear this?

 

I have no idea whether this is true, but if it is, I would guess that the reason is that Oasis/Allure carry A LOT of non-American passengers.

I have been on two cruises when the Super Bowl was played. Both were on the Serenade out of Puerto Rico. The first year formal night was on the day after the Super Bowl. On the following year formal night was not changed and it did take place on Super Bowl Sunday. I have no idea how they decide.
