Miami hotel - with MIA and shuttle transport included?

On my cruises out of Port Canaveral, I stayed at a hotel that offered transportation to and from the airport, as well as a shuttle to the ship. Does Miami having something similar.

I'm not sure yet if I will be flying into Miami or Fort Lauderdale, but right now prices for flying into Miami are better - so I'll start with that.

Thanks.

We were in the same situation for our last cruise. We did end up staying in FLL but did do some research into a few Miami hotels that offered both an airport shuttle as well as port shuttle.

Here are a few that we came up with:

Springhill Suites Downtown Miami - 3 miles from the port and they will shuttle you over to the Bayside Market Place for dinner or shopping. Airport and port shuttle plus free breakfast and the perk of all rooms being suites. http://www.marriott.com/hotels/local-things-to-do/miahd-springhill-suites-miami-airport-east-medical-center/

LaQuinta Airport Miami East- Very popular on these boards. Airport and port shuttle plus free breakfast. Not sure if there is much in the way of restaurants to walk to, but we had a friend who stayed pre-cruise with his two children and they just ordered Pizza delivery. He said the front desk had a stack of restaurants willing to deliver. http://www.lq.com/lq/properties/propertyProfile.do?propId=4040

The newer Comfort Suites Miami Airport North- Good reviews, airport and port shuttle plus free breakfast. There appears to be quite a few restaurants within walking distance as well. Always a nice perk,

IMO, when one does not have a rental car. http://www.comfortsuites.com/hotel-miami_springs-florida-FLB13

Good luck to you.

Please do not limit your search to hotels with free shuttles -- no downtown Miami or Miami Beach hotels offer MIA airport shuttles, but if you want to experience the Miami you often see in the movies and on TV that is where you need to stay.

Lots of good quality hotels near MIA (with free airport shuttles) in the BLue Lagoon area -- with shopping and dining options within walking distance; check out the Hampton Inn, Homewood Suites, Sofitel and others. Taxi to POM will run about $26+tip.

Good luck! :)

Good idea. I've got some time to do some research (which is almost as much fun as taking the trip). Thanks for the reply,
