rocketlegs Posted January 18, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 18, 2014 The ship arrives at Miami at 8 am and I'll be flying out of Fort Lauderdale. The ship is NCL Pearl and has 2,400 passengers. What the earliest I could make a flight?
Langley Cruisers Posted January 18, 2014 #2 Share Posted January 18, 2014 (edited) Given there are several factors beyond your control (possible docking delay, Customs and Immigration, transportation to FLL delays, airport check in and security lines, etc.) I would not book a flight before noon. EDITED to add: I would also opt for the self-disembarkation if you want to catch an early flight. Krazy Kruizers Posted January 18, 2014 #3 Share Posted January 18, 2014 Since your ship is coming back into the Miami and you are flying out of Ft Lauderdale -- don't book a flight until around 2 PM. You have to wait until the ship is cleared, go through customs and immigration and then make your way to Ft Lauderdale -- depending on traffic -- you could spend up to 45 minutes to get there. Remember that once you are at the airport, you have to check in your luggage and then go through security. Weekends in Ft Lauderdale to go through security can be a zoo!!
