Jewelry Shopping in Grand Cayman

Can anyone recommend reputable jewelry stores in Grand Cayman? I'm looking for gemstones (not necessarily diamond) and/or gold but creative/artistic/unique designs -- not run-of-the-mill or predictable looking.

Also, is there time to shop and spend time on Seven Mile Beach on a typical cruise day?

GC is a very expensive place...no "bargains", if that's what you're looking for! Yes...there is plenty of time for shopping an beaching! Walk off the tender dock, hit the shops that are right across the street, then come back toward the dock, and catch a bus to the beach! A very, easy DIY day!

Caymanite is the island stone and can be found on the island from a local vendor at the street Market in town. Go right, towards the shopping area upon arriving at the tender dock and walk about a city block until you see white canopy's with local vendors. There is a lady that sells her hand made Caymanite jewelry which is unique. It is a very affordable and something you will not find in the States. Also, know it is found in the jewelry stores and it is HER work for triple the price. Same stuff.

Also black coral can be found in coral shops. Something different from State side jewelry.
