If you get an upgrade at the dock then how long does it take to get your luggage since they would have your old cabin number on them.

The one time it happened to us, it was somewhere between 8p and 9p before our luggage showed up.

Our upgrade most likely took place some time between when we printed our docs at home and when we checked in about a week later in Barcelona. We never received any notification of the upgrade. They didn't even tell us at the pier. We found out when our room key didn't work - in the cabin I was SURE was ours. We went to Guest Services and found out that they'd upgraded us to a JS. Why they didn't mention it at the pier is still a mystery.

October 2012. I was actually upset at first. We had booked an aft balcony and I really had my heart set on it...until I walked into the JS and saw the walk-in closet and coffee maker!

It is extremely rare that you get upgraded at dock

 

I know two couples that this has happened too. Their sea passes couldn't be located at check in and this is when they figured out they were upgraded.

 

Never say never....anything is possible.
