Any indication of the length of cruise or itinerary! It is a 2 night cruise with no stops, it is appearing in Cruising Power, but not bookable. Perhaps doing 4/5 night sailings along side Indy. Those sailings are very popular and very profitable. Liberty will probably go direct from Europe to Galveston.

I thought revenue-repo cruises between US ports had to call somewhere extraordinarily far away, like Aruba. Also, its not released yet, but Liberty is supposed to staying on her 4-5 night cruises out of Fort Lauderdale Summer and Fall of 2015, so Liberty and Navigator could potentially just be swapping places. My head is spinning too! Any indication of the length of cruise or itinerary! I don't think this is going to be a bookable sailing due to the port departure and arrival times Depart Galveston - 11:00 a.m. Cruising Arrive Ft Lauderdale: 12:00 p.m. It looks like she is leaving Galveston after all guest from the 11/1 sailing have disembarked. Also, her odd arrival time in Ft Lauderdale indicates (if this is all legit) she will either move on from there or she will dock overnight and her first sailing will be on Wednesday 11/11. "A passenger who embarks and disembarks in two different U.S. ports (such as Los Angeles and San Diego) would result in the carrier (not the violator) being fined. The vessel must call in a distant foreign port before the U.S. embarkation and disembarkation ports can differ. The nearest distant foreign ports are in or off the coast of South America." MADflyer Posted April 11, 2014 #2106 Share Posted April 11, 2014 Liberty is most likely not going to Europe in 2015. Galveston to Port Everglades is 934 nautical miles and at full cruising speed of 21 knots, it would take a minimum of 2 days and 3 hours for this repo. A 2 night cruise from gavelston to ft lauderdale violates the jones act. It's illegal . I highly doubt it. MADflyer Posted April 11, 2014 #2108 Share Posted April 11, 2014 NCL got around the law when they moved Getaway down from NYC following the Super Bowl by having a 3 night to Nassau and then going non-revenue into Miami for the inaugural sailing. It would have to be a non-revenue and I'm not sure Royal has ever done anything like that. Does Anybody else recall ? Case1096 Posted April 11, 2014 #2113 Share Posted April 11, 2014 They could also pay the fine, but not likely. More likely that they will ask for an exemption by sailing non revenue.

CruiseEatRelax Posted April 11, 2014 #2117 Share Posted April 11, 2014 Interesting find - Liberty is on the St. Maarten calendar for April 30, 2015. Not sure how long it has been on there. If you mean 2012, she went into dry dock for revitalization before the TA. Jo
