doones2 Posted January 28, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 28, 2014 I am very happy that RCCL has come to there senses and allows passengers to bring on wine. My question is this....if I wanted to bring on 3 bottles of wine, would they charge me a fee for the extra bottle or confiscate it. I wouldn't mind having to pay extra to be able to have my own wine. If they find it they will confiscate it and return it to you at the end of the cruise. They do not charge you for extra bottles of wine - two 750ml bottles per stateroom at original embarkation is the policy. The fee they would charge - which is $25 - is a corkage fee for bottles of wine taken to venues that also serve alcohol, such as the dining room. To avoid that just pour your wine into glasses which (along with ice and an opener if needed) will be provided by your stateroom attendant and take that with you.
