Thanks for that link! I've visited the New Harbor Webcam site many times, but this one (Port New York) is different. I love the view following the Gem down the river, with the setting sun shining off Manhattan.

They are testing different lighting on the Getaway right now. It's so cool! Watching live there are sparkly disco lights flashing all over the side, and then sometimes it just stays solid blue. http://www.portnywebcam.com/

I've been watching since the Gem sailed away--flipping between the Port web cam, the Harbor web cam (both run by the same company), and the Gem's own bridge web cam. Apparently, the Getaway's bridgecam is not broadcasting over the 'net, yet...

 

The light show on the Getaway is spectacular! It appears to be a reflection of lights set up on the Intrepid.....:cool:

Thanks for sharing~~you can sure tell the "Getaway" and the "Breakaway" are sisters~~I enjoyed the "Breakaway" so much and big~~but never felt crowded! I am going on the "Gem" in October for the 11-day~~cannot wait!:)

I was in NYC last night for Keith Urban (OMG great show) and saw Getaway on the way down - it was still daylight and she looked beautiful - hull art is gorgeous - Bud Light Signs everywhere and even on the side of the ship, it said Bud Light Hotel.

 

On the way home, the lights were going crazy, blue spotlights and I heard music coming from her.

 

Looked gorgeous. Made me even more excited for next year!

Can't wait for the Breakaway to dock next to the Getaway!!

Now that will be worth some pix!!
