merinski Posted January 31, 2014 #4 Share Posted January 31, 2014 There are bats there, I wondered too, but don't want to get the shot. Anyone ever been bitten by a bat there?
Daisyloo Posted January 31, 2014 #5 Share Posted January 31, 2014 We did this tour in December. Didn't see any bats. They never mentioned anything about bats. Enjoyed the tour.
Aplmac Posted January 31, 2014 #6 Share Posted January 31, 2014 There were/maybe-are bats at the entrance area to nearby Coles Cave which is connected to Harrisons Cave, but I'm fairly sure that there are zero bats in the quite-commercial Harrisons Cave. If they were bats in the early days, they would have been flushed-out years ago and not allowed to re-enter when dawn breaks, by the closing of large doors. It's not that difficult to dis-bar bats! . chelsearay Posted February 22, 2014 Author #7 Share Posted February 22, 2014 thank you for your input! i probably wont worry about getting the shots, especially as they are expensive and many of them!
Kristalght Posted February 22, 2014 #8 Share Posted February 22, 2014 You never want to get the rabies shots unless you have serious need for it. I don't know any doctors who would even do it on a preventative measure.
OCruisers Posted February 24, 2014 #9 Share Posted February 24, 2014 Don't worry ... no bats (if there are any) are going come swarming down on you. :D LuLu ~~~~
