WetToes Posted January 31, 2014 #76 Share Posted January 31, 2014 This is really great news great news for us. My DH is retiring very soon, and as we're only 15 minutes from the port, that means we can decide kind of last minute to take a cruise. :) It's also great to have the choice between the lines. Wish more would come. Celebrity was here once, why not again?
Rare jimbo5544 Posted January 31, 2014 #77 Share Posted January 31, 2014
This is great news for us. Been on Pride three times, and now will likely go again. Just over 2 hours away, and upgrading the ship.....sounds worth it. There will likely never be another spirit-class ship built. And they are the best Carnival has, by far. Yay !
I doubt very much we will ever see Carnival build another Spirit class of ship. While the corporation still gets them from some of their other lines, it would be beyond surprising to see one with the Carnival funnel.

Emilycat Posted February 1, 2014 #79 Share Posted February 1, 2014 :D This is wonderful news. Living only 45 minutes away just over the Mason Dixon Line, it is so convenient to sail out of Baltimore. Have been on the Pride twice and going again Feb!

Philly Steve Posted February 1, 2014 #81 Share Posted February 1, 2014 Thrilled to hear this and ready to book another cruise on the all new Pride. Maybe they'll use the opportunity to brighten the interiors?
Eng23 Posted February 7, 2014 #82 Share Posted February 7, 2014
Sorry I was agreeing with you--I meant to hit Quote for... We live 45 minutes north of Baltimore and we aren't going out of Charleston again until they get a new terminal--so we know how you feel. We're excited to have the Pride back again.
Gotcha. Eng23 Posted February 7, 2014 #83 Share Posted February 7, 2014
Raising the Sunshine Skyway doesn't look like a easy project.
Not easy and very expensive. Therefore not likely to happen.
