bluemug Posted August 20, 2018 #26 Share Posted August 20, 2018 Just off a p&o cruise and they gave me ,on board spend, for the two of us, that is each.
LondonTowner Posted August 21, 2018 #27 Share Posted August 21, 2018 We got 10% discount each from Celebrity. Every time we’ve asked P&O and Cunard there has always been an excuse not to pay it. Anyway, the discount was more than the OBC that Carnival offer, so happy with that. Sent from my iPad using Forums
slug33ukuk Posted October 18, 2018 #28 Share Posted October 18, 2018 I have had it on a couple of occasions with Princess, but only if you book a SELECT FARE....saver fare you don,t, I had quite an argument last year with PO over it, who say the same,,,saver fare NO... SELECT FARE, YES.
Magnetchief Posted October 18, 2018 #29 Share Posted October 18, 2018 (edited) Cunard offers a nice onboard credit for serving and retired personel. Even better if you have both served :) Edited October 18, 2018 by Magnetchief
Rare Tothesunset Posted March 18, 2019 #30 Share Posted March 18, 2019 A bit off-topic but not totally. Apparently ID cards for ex-military personnel will be introduced later this year. I have no details. Will be useful to prove service and could be especially useful in the USA where discounts for Service Personnel, serving and retired, are commonplace in hotels, tourist attractions etc. Worth keeping an eye out for. Per Ardua...

Iyoung54 Posted May 26, 2021 #32 Share Posted May 26, 2021 Bit late in the day but interested in the comment by Lebroes about drivers licence marked it Veteran. Can anyone expand on this as I have never heard of this before.

Never heard of the driving license marked with a V for veteran idea. Where did you get that from Lebreos? I can't find any official notice of this. Rare Tothesunset Posted August 25, 2021 #34 Share Posted August 25, 2021 (edited) Question asked in the HoC on 5 July 2021 The short reply can be summarised as "No idea. Don't care." https://questions-statements.parliament.uk/written-questions/detail/2021-07-05/27012/ Edited August 25, 2021 by Tothesunset
hawkesbaynz Posted August 27, 2021 #35 Share Posted August 27, 2021 Just received 15% for a UK STaycation with Celebrity. Otherwise usual 10% for the rest of the cruises. Worth having! Noticed that the Defence Discount with British Airways seems to be the same as the regular price.

I have two drivers licenses from two states that both say veteran on them. Obviously, I only use the driver's license for the state o reside in but those licenses are definitely out there. Sometimes you have to ask them to put it on there but you should get it for proof of service and discounts.

lebreos Posted March 27, 2023 #40 Share Posted March 27, 2023 (edited) Cant remember where I saw it about marking driving licences - I think it was dropped pretty quickly and they went back to issuing veterans an ID card - still currently afaik service leavers are only getting them - they have promised to roll it out beyond that several times - i think they want us to all die off first...
