springfire Posted February 2, 2014 #26 Share Posted February 2, 2014 I bought a "gold by the inch" necklace. When I go home, I held the necklace next to a real gold necklace and what a difference. The one on the ship really looked fake. Maybe because it was fake!
Guest maddycat Posted February 2, 2014 #27 Share Posted February 2, 2014 I haven't seen the Inch of Gold for some time now. Can you tell me on what ship & when you last saw it? It was being sold on the Explorer in Nov.
sellwingri Posted February 2, 2014 #28 Share Posted February 2, 2014 DH gets it on every cruise and I have no idea why. He just says he likes it but never wears it. Figure this one out....... I bought it once, probably on our first cruise but never will again. I'll use that money in the casino. :> )
north29 Posted February 2, 2014 #29 Share Posted February 2, 2014 The cheap gold plated has a place, if you want the look of gold. The gold plated stuff is about the same price as good bling. But why buy it on a cruise ship, gold plated stuff is probably sold locally, e specially at local permanent flea markets, at much cheaper piroces. SAMs club has some gold over slicer, I guess costco does too.

They had it on the Liberty just a couple of days ago. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
BDL Posted February 3, 2014 #31 Share Posted February 3, 2014 I haven't seen the Inch of Gold for some time now. Can you tell me on what ship & when you last saw it? They had it on Serenade last week near the elevators on 11 outside the Windjammer. I didn't see too many people stopping. I had one piece years ago and the 'gold' wore off pretty quickly. I personally wouldn't buy another one.
Barbiegator Posted February 3, 2014 #32 Share Posted February 3, 2014 I have 6 or 7 pieces of it and love it. When ever it gets worn they replace it for free. There is never a hassle...just either take it to them on the ship or mail it to them and they replace the piece. Have replaced all mine. I particularly like it because I don't have to worry about my real gold jewelry....leave it at home. My husband replaces his necklace and bracelet everytime we cruise. No problem and no extra money. Whatever makes you happy.
