Ruby Princess embarkation lunch

We will be sailing the Ruby Princess on June 4 from Southampton. Are there dining options for embarkation lunch other than the buffet? We are not in a suite.

12:00 - 1:30P there is lunch in a dining room. Although you may be persuaded to the buffet. We ate lunch both embarkation days in the Da Vinci Dining Room.

Also pizza or hamburgers/hot dogs at the appropriate counters on the pool deck.

 

And there is the International Cafe on deck 5 in the Atrium where you can get some food and some tables in the area to eat at.

Lots of options-I'm not a buffet person. I think we'll try for the dining room.

Do you have to get dressed up to eat in the dining room for lunch?

No dressing up for lunch, shorts would be fine, they discourage muscle shirts for the guys in the DR.

We just got off the Ruby. In the elevator I asked the Princess rep which restaurant was open - she pushed the Lido but after looking at the Patter said

Da Vinci! We had a lovely, quiet lunch to begin our cruise. Karen
