April cruising-Quantum or Jewel?

Love smaller ships and the Jewel's itinerary however, Quantum will sail from my homeport, I'll save money on airfare, she will be a brand new ship ,and has numerous onboard activities. Sailing with teens. Bottom line if costs are equal...Do I want to get them off the ship in port or keep them busy onboard?

Quantum. Jewel is our least favorite Royal Caribbean ship. Quantum doesn't necessarily appeal to us, either, but it will be brand new.

Quantum if costs are equal. It will probably take a while for that to happen, though. "New/better ship" gets a premium for a couple of years. Example case, Mid december this year, Indy, Oasis, Allure, all 7 night runs, all covering about the same kinds of ports. Allure's quoting "from $849", Oasis "from $749" and Indy "from $599".
