Questoin about balcony access on Pearl

My family of four, two adults two kids, 16 and 13 are booked in a mid ship balcony on the Pearl. I have seen pictures, and I know that when all the beds are made up there will be no room to move, and with the Pullman coming out of the ceiling it blocks the balcony door. My question is can you still get out to the balcony? Or does the Pullman restrict access totally? I realize we will have to climb over beds, and duck under beds.... but will the door open with the Pullman down? And secondly, do you know if these beds get put back during the day, and only pulled out and made up later in the day? It is $422 more for a mini suite, if they will even let me upgrade.... but this trip is already over budget as we are coming from the East so flights were expensive and the excursions are outrageous... but it is the trip of a life time so I would rather splurge on the excursions and make do with the room as long as we can get to the balcony with the beds made up, even if it means it is a game of twister to get there.... any information is appreciated!

The beds are put away during the day.

I haven't stayed in a balcony cabin, mainly for the reason you state. However, my understanding is that it is possible to access the balcony, but quite tricky and you are likely to disturb the people sleeping in the beds. Hopefully someone will be able to give you more first hand info.

If you do decide to upgrade to a mini suite then be careful. They are directly below the pool deck so look at the deck plans to see what is above you. If there are not many available then it is quite possible you may just swap one problem with another.

When the Pullman bed is down from the ceiling, it blocks the upper half of the balcony door, so you'll need to bend down to go under it to get onto the balcony.

The fold out sofa bed is directly under the Pullman bed.
