picture Posted February 12, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 12, 2014 How easy is it to set up? Driving to Miami & I know there are roll roads not from that area so only need toll pass for the one day we drive into Miami. Or is it easy to just pay @ each toll booth? Just trying to figure out what will be easier & what can I do in advance? Also coat estimate for pass? Thanks

Capt_BJ Posted February 13, 2014 #3 Share Posted February 13, 2014 (edited) easier to proper answer the avoiding tolls question if we knw specific of from where cuz some routes DO have all electronic tolls. IF you will be in your own car, the system will use toll by plate, and send you a bill for the month with a small admin charge (couple of dollars) - it is the rental car companies adding onto this admin charge that causes everyone's problems with electronic tolls you can buy a Sunpass online today an set it up b4 you travel. It takes just a couple of minutes. the "good for one car" version is $5 and is a sticker applied to the windshield the "can be moved" version is $20, this attaches with suction cups and you can easily add/delete vehicles, and have multiple vehicles registered to the device (including rentals) everything you need to know is here https://www.sunpass.com/index and here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_toll_roads_in_Florida NOTE: there are toll roads in Florida that are not part of the turnpike system so you need a list of ALL not just the turnpike . . .
