Smoking areas on Oasis?

Recommended Posts

I was on the Allure this past Nov., smoking was allowed in half the casino as long as they were gambling or looked like they were gambling.

Half the casino? Was the non-smoking half hermetically sealed? or is it the same space, but non-smokers dont have to worry about sitting next to actively smoking smokers?

Not hermetically sealed. Not much difference between the smoking and non-smoking section.

Does anyone know where on Decks 15 and 16 smokers are allowed on Oasis?

It's not shown on the deck plans.  I'm not a smoker, but we have friends that are.

I'd love to mark-up a deck plan to show them designated areas.

Any photos of the designated smoking areas on Oasis would be greatly appreciated.

Non-sense.

The last time I was on board (Dec 2019) there was no smoking on deck 16. Only on deck 15... in the red box on the image.

You smoke?  I used too but don’t now (20 years) and smoke is all over the non smoking areas. If you can smell it, it’s there.

Yes.. but working on quitting again. I was not smoking from March 2019 - December 20, 2019. Then I lost my dog (the one in the pic, he was my everything.. he had just turned 16 three weeks before he passed) and I do not do well with emotional stress, and I picked one up... that was the end of that.

When I was not smoking, the smell coming off someone that just smoked made me a bit nauseated. That being said my partner still smokes, and has no intention of quitting. (Sigh)

When I was on the Oasis last December, I felt the non-smoking side was far better than on any other ship in the fleet. (When I say non-smoking side, I do not mean right next to the line where it changes, I am referring to the area near the cage and forward from there.

I started Chantix again three weeks ago, and should be without cigs by xmas. I have been down to just one before work, and two after work for the last week. Wish me luck!

Good luck with quitting. I used Chantix too. On like day 7, I woke up and was just not really interested in cigarettes any longer.

If you are around smoking, not sure you would be able to tell if it was bad on the non smoking side. When I play on that side and I get back to the cabin, the boss says I smell. You can smell it on the elevator and on people who smoke.

I quit several times before but would always start back. I had to eliminate the stress in my life and the only way to permanently quit, was to get a divorce. 😁

Sorry about your dog.

Hi folks...dont want to start another contentious thread or debate the negatives of smoking (being a Doctor I know full well). Just after information as to where the smoking areas are now on Oasis. I fully respect RCI's decision to ban smoking on balcony's (albeit I will miss being able to have a private smoke and glass of wine...) though would like to be fully informed about where it is now acceptable. I also respect other people's rights to not have smoke in their faces or onto their balconies. Any help, especially from those who have been on either Oasis or Allure since the ruling changed, would be appreciated. Thanks in advance 🙂

I enjoy cigars on the pool deck in the designated smoking area!
